Ans:-                                       BAD COMPANY

Once there was a boy. His name was Naresh. His parents were highly educated. They belonged to a very high family.

Unluckily their only son—the apple of their eyes—Naresh fell into a bad company. He gambled. He smoked. He loitered the whole day. This pained his parents very much. They received one complaint or the other on account of Naresh. They had to feel small in every society. Even in the immediate neighbourhood, they had to keep their heads down. It was all due to Naresh.

They were fed up with the boy. They wanted to reform the boy at all cost.

Then one day the father called Naresh to him. He gave him a rotten apple. He asked ‘lira to place this dirty apple in a basket of fine and healthy apples. Naresh did as he was told. After a few days, the basket was brought at the breakfast table. Naresh was asked to open the basket. He was asked to cut all apples one by one with a knife. The boy did likewise as he was asked. To his surprise, all the healthy apples were changed into rotten apples. They were stinking with a foul smell.

The father said to the son, “Look Naresh! one rotten apple has spoiled all the good one, .. Similarly. Similarly, a bad boy can make all other good boys bad, too.” Naresh learnt a lesson. He promised to be a good boy. Later this boy became a top-class officer.

Moral: Better alone than to be in a bad company.
