Q1. What is the report writing format for Class 11 ISC?

Answer: In ISC Class 11, a report should follow a clear structure: start with a suitable title, then add a byline (writer’s name), followed by an introduction that explains what, when, and where the event took place. The main body should describe the event in detail, and the conclusion should highlight the result, impact, or future steps.

Q2. What are some good ISC report topics for Class 11?

Answer: Useful topics are school events like annual day or sports day, competitions such as debates or exhibitions, real-life incidents like accidents or rallies, and awareness activities like blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, or workshops. Choose topics that are current, realistic, and relatable for Class 11 students.

Q3. How is ISC report writing different from CBSE?

Answer: While both ISC and CBSE follow a similar structure—title, byline, introduction, body, and conclusion—ISC report writing is assessed under the English Language paper and focuses more on formal tone, sentence fluency, and precision. In ISC, the report usually carries 5 marks and demands better grammar, factual clarity, and logical flow. Unlike CBSE, ISC often includes real-life or community-related report topics and prefers a more refined vocabulary and mature expression.
