MBBS Course Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking to get admission into the MBBS degree must obtain over fifty per cent marks in biology, chemistry, and physics in their twelfth-grade exam. They should have appeared in NEET, AIMEE or All India Medical Entrance Exam, and CET or Common Entrance Test and obtain the qualifying score. The age of the applicants must not be less than twenty years and not more than twenty-five years.
Training Period of MBBS Course
The course duration of four and a half years (this duration does not include the internship) is segmented into three phases, which are phases one, two and three. The first phase comprises of two semesters. The students are taught pre-clinical subjects, such as the anatomy of humans, and the human physiology, like biochemistry and biophysics, humanities and community medicine. The subjects like humanities and community medicine are given sixty hours, and the two-third of the rest of the duration is reserved for the subjects of human physiology. The remaining one-third of the duration is used for studying human anatomy.

The second includes only the third semester. The Para-clinical, as well as the clinical subjects, are taught to the students in this phase. The Para-clinical subjects include forensic medicines, pharmacology, pathology, microbiology, toxicology and a portion of the community medicine. On the other hand, the clinical subjects comprise of all subjects that are taught in phase three. The third phase consists of all the clinical subjects that are taught after passing the first phase. The clinical subjects are Medicine and Surgery, along with their allied specialities, Community Medicine, Gynecology, and Obstetrics.
The subjects that are included in Medicine and its related specialities are General Medicine, Tuberculosis, STD or Sexually Transmitted /diseases, Radio-Diagnosis, Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Infectious Diseases. The Surgery and its related specialities consist of subjects like General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Anesthesia, Radio-Therapy, Orthopedic Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Dentistry, and Physiotherapy.
