MAT — Management Aptitude Test

MAT Full-Form refers to the Management Aptitude Test. MAT is a national level management exam taken by candidates for seeking admission into popular management institutes and universities in India. The conducting body of this exam is ALMA or All India Management Association. Candidates should have a graduate degree from a university or institute recognized by the AIU. The subjects studied by the aspirants in their under-graduation courses are not considered at all.

Even the candidates who are currently in the final year of their degree can apply, provided they pass the exam before beginning their studies in the selected management school. Work experience is not needed at all. There is no maximum or minimum age for the aspirants. The ALMA releases the MAT notification on its official portal. Candidates just need to register themselves on the portal, fill in the form, and pay the application fee of twelve hundred rupees.

After uploading the photo, the completed application form must be submitted. Mother way of filling the application form is the offline mode. Candidates have to visit the ALMA office and pay the application fee of twelve hundred rupees to obtain the hard copy of the MAT application form. After filling in all the details in it and affixing coloured photo, the form must be sent to the ALMA office by post.

Candidates must check the schedule of the counselling procedure if they have cleared the MAT exam and obtained the required cutoff marks. They will be able to select only those universities or institutes that are offered in accordance with their ranks. Candidates must visit the AUVIA’s official portal to apply for the counselling procedure. After registering themselves, they need to pay the counselling fee. Additionally, they need to attend the reporting centre for the online allotment of the seats.
