A rich, old lady became blind and called in a doctor. She agreed to pay the doctor a large sum of money if cured, otherwise nothing. The doctor visited daily. His greed was aroused by the expensive furniture in the house. He took away an article daily. The doctor delayed the treatment in order to grab maximum articles of furniture. As to last the treatment came to an end. The doctor demanded his fees but the lady refused to pay him anything saying that the treatment was not complete. At last, there was a court case. The judge asked the lady the reason for not paying. The lady’s reply was that she could not see all her expensive furniture. The judge understood the whole matter and gave the verdict in the lady’s favour.
