Ans:- ROBERT BRUCE AND THE SPIDER
Robert Bruce was the King of Scotland. He was a fatherly figure for the people of his country. He was brave and gallant. He wanted to free his country from the English. He waged a war against the enemy. The enemy was very powerful. The noble Bruce was defeated. He ran away from the battle-field. He hid in an old cave.
One day he was sitting in a depressed mood. He was looking towards the ceiling of the cave. He saw that a spider was trying to reach his home, the cob-web. The good Bruce saw that the spider was reaching inch by inch towards its home. As and when it neared its home, it fell down. But the bold spider stood up, made a fresh try.
The journey to his cob-web was very hard. But it took up the courage. It covered the same route by and by, but it fell down below on the ground. The spider was not discouraged. It made a third powerful attempt. But it met a failure. But who could break its continuity? it made the fourth attempt. Then the fifth and the sixth and the seventh. In a nutshell in its ninth attempt, the determined spider succeeded and reached its cob-web. The King, Robert Bruce learnt a lesson of life from this insignificant spider.
He came out of the cave. He collected his broken army. He gave a tough fight to the English. Successor failure was now not his sole aim. His purpose was to try again and again. After a few strenuous attempts, he succeeded remarkably. He defeated the powerful enemy. He became an unchallenged king of his country. He was victorious.
Morals: Try, try again and you will succeed.
