Tricki was a small, pampered dog with a big appetite. He belonged to Mrs. Pumphrey, who loved him very much but spoiled him with too much food and treats. Tricki was very greedy and would eat anything at any time. This made him very fat and unhealthy. 

Tricki had a sweet and gentle nature. He was not a very active dog because he was overfed and lacked exercise. This caused him to become lazy and weak.
