(I)There are 26 questions in all. All questions are compulsory.

(ii) Marks for each question are indicated against the question.

(iii) Questions from serial number 1 to 7 are very short Answer type Questions. The answer to these questions should not exceed 30 words limit. Each question carries one mark.

(iv) Question from serial number 8 to 18 is 3 marks questions. Answer of these questions should not exceed 80 words each.

(v)Question from serial number 19 to 25 is 5 marks questions. Answers of these questions should not exceed 100 words each.

 (vi) Question number 26 is a map question. It has two parts 26(A) and 26(B) 26 (A) of 2 marks from History and 26(B) of 3 marks from Geography. After completion attaches the map inside your answer book.

(i)To safeguard and promote the unity of the country and at the same time accommodate regional diversity.

(ii) An ideal federal system has mutual trust and agreement to live together. Government at different levels should trust that each would abide by its part of the agreement.

But if they fail to raise such demands which are against the interest of other community, politics becomes the force of division.  Ans. The Reserve Bank of India supervises the functioning of banks as follows:

 (ii) RBI issues guidelines to the banks to give a loan to all section of the society. This supervision is necessary to ensure that small business also grows, besides others. Further monitoring ensures that banks do not loan more money than they are supposed to.

 (it) Private sector. These are owned and operated by individuals or a group of individuals. e.g. TISCO, Bajaj Auto Ltd.

 (iii) Joint sector venture: These industries are jointly run by the state and individual or a group of individuals. e.g. Oil India Ltd.

(iv) Cooperative sector. These are owned and operated by the producers or suppliers of raw materials, workers or both. The pool in the resources and share the profits or losses proportionately such as sugar industry in Maharashtra, the coir industry in Kerala.

 (iv) These regional parties force the ruling party to fulfil the demands of the people of their areas.
