Lencho’s soul was filled with sadness.” why?

Lencho’s soul was filled with deep sadness because a sudden hailstorm completely destroyed his corn harvest. Lencho felt very, very sad. He wanted only rain for his crops, but in place of rain there came a hailstorm that  left his farm empty. His farm looked like it was covered with salt. This meant no corn for the year, which was very bad for Lencho and his family. They needed the corn for food and money.

Lencho and his sons had worked really hard on their farm. They took care of the plants and hoped for a lot of corn like every year. But the storm destroyed everything in just a little time. This made Lencho’s soul filled with sadness. Lencho feels helpless and unsure about what to do next.
