Once there were a tortoise and a hare in a jungle. The hare usually mocked at tortoise regarding his slow pace. It often teased him by saying that he was slower than him. The tortoise felt sad and disheartened. When the limit was crossed, the tortoise challenged him for the race that was decided the very next morning at 10.00 am. The next morning, both tortoise and have arrived at the decided place. The jackal was appointed as the referee of the race. The destination was decided.
On the correct time, the referee blew the whistle and the race started. The hare started hopping with vigour and ran fast with enthusiasm. But the tortoise walked slowly. After some time on the midway, the hare stopped and looked behind. He found the tortoise nowhere. Since hare was overconfident, he thought to take some rest under the tree. He sat down there and he fell asleep. But the tortoise kept on walking slowly and gradually. After some time he passed in the vicinity of the rabbit slowly and silently after a long hour, the hare awoke. He was disturbed to find that he had gotten asleep. He started running fast. But as he was approaching the destination point, he found that the tortoise had already reached there. He felt ashamed and apologized to the tortoise and promised him not to mock at him again.
