Why was it so difficult for the thief to rob Anil?
Answer- Robbing Anil was really difficult for the thief because Anil was not like the other people from whom Hari Singh had stolen before. Anil was very trusting and kind, which made the thief feel different about stealing from him. Usually, the thief found it easy to steal from people who had a lot of money or who were not nice, because he felt they deserved it or wouldn’t miss the stolen items much.
But Anil was different; he didn’t have much money and still shared whatever he had with the thief. He even taught the thief how to read and write, which was something the thief started to value a lot.

The thief was used to taking advantage of people’s weaknesses, but Anil’s kindness was not a weakness; it made the thief feel guilty about the idea of stealing from him. Plus, Anil was so trusting that he wouldn’t have even noticed if something was missing, and that took away the thrill of stealing for the thief.
The thief started to see Anil as more than just someone to steal from; he saw him as a friend and a teacher. This change of heart made it very hard for the thief to go through with his plan to rob Anil.
