वह बहुत सुंदर दिखना चाहती थी। लेकिन पार्टी के बाद वह हार खो गया। फिर मतील्दा और उसके पति ने महंगा हार खरीदकर उसे बदला, जिससे वे दस साल तक कर्ज़ में डूबे रहे। बाद में मतील्दा को पता चला कि वह हार नकली था।
यह कहानी दिखाती है कि दिखावा और बेईमानी से परेशानी होती है और हमें संतोष और ईमानदारी से जीना चाहिए।
