Once the goose of a farmer laid an egg……….. it was of gold………. then day after day he got golden eggs ………..he became very rich ………wanted to become the richest man of the world……… killed the goose in order to get all the golden eggs in a single day……….. lost the goose as well as golden eggs………. Moral.

Once there was a farmer. He had a goose. The goose laid a golden egg every day. The farmer was very happy. He was becoming a very rich man because of this divine goose.

But he became very impatient. He did not want to wait any longer. He wanted to grow rich instantly. He wanted to be the richest man in the world. His only hope was this gifted goose. It was the only source which could help the farmer realize his dream.

Therefore, he hit upon ‘an instant growing rich’ plan. There and then he caught hold of his dearest goose. He asked for a sharp knife. He butchered the goose in one stroke. The poor creature gave a long outcry and died. Now the farmer tore its belly to get scores of golden eggs in an instant, but to his ill luck, he got nothing. In his lust for gold and wealth, he killed his goose. What did he get, only flesh, bones and blood of the goose?

He wept bitterly. He mourned the loss of his golden goose. But what could be done now except to tear his hair? The farmer held his head. He repented at his folly. Now it was too late to do anything. The goose was already beyond his reach. The wild scheme of growing rich at once was dashed. He had built castles in the air His superstructure of `Riches’ had fallen down like a house of cards.

Moral: Greed is a Curse.

Greedy men always weep and repent after the occurrence.
