Who was Tricki? – Detailed

Tricki was a small, pampered dog owned by Mrs. Pumphrey. He was a sweet and gentle dog, but he had a big problem with overeating. Mrs. Pumphrey loved him very much and spoiled him with too much food and treats. She gave him cream cakes, chocolates, and extra supplements like malt, cod-liver oil, and Horlicks. 

Because of this, Tricki became very fat and unhealthy. He had no energy and was always tired. He would lie around all day and refused to eat his favorite foods. Tricki’s condition worried Mrs. Pumphrey a lot, so she called Mr. Herriot, a veterinary surgeon, for help.
