Sir/ Ma’am

Subject:
Expressing concern over reckless driving.

Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and the general public towards the issue of more and more cases of reckless driving every day.
Accidents due to reckless driving are the order of the day. The speed maniacs responsible for most of the accidents disappear from the scene leaving it the victims bleeding and crying. After knocking down a person, they flee before anybody can note down the number of their vehicles. They have no humanity left in them they think that the road is their private property. Reckless drivers overtake from the left disregarding all traffic rules. Traffic lights have no meaning for them. The penalties imposed for reckless driving are too lenient to be effective. Time is ripe to impose heavy penalties on offenders. A reckless driver who speeds away after knocking down a person should be forced to spend at least one year in the prison cell, after being caught by the police.
I shall be really obliged to you for your kind consideration of providing a relevant space to my views in your esteemed daily.

Yours sincerely,
Rama Kant

Subject: Drunken driving- A living threat to life

Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I want to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and common masses about the menace of drunk driving. This is one of the major causes of road accidents.
Many people suffer injuries, sometimes fatal in road accidents as a result of drunken driving. This must come to a stop. What will we Indians understand? What is enough is enough? There must be stringent laws to tackle the situation. During 2013 alone more than 30,000 people died in highway accidents. So the next time you decide to drive, while drunk gives it serious thought. As the old cliche goes, ‘the life you save, maybe your own’.

Yours Sincerely
Raj

Subject: Rash driving by bus drivers causing a lot of issues

Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the General Manager, Delhi Transport Corporationauthorities towards the rash driving of bus drivers in Noida.
The rash driving by the bus drivers causes a sense of panic in the pedestrian and the commuter alike. It leads to accidents. The attitude of not following any traffic rules or driving in own lane, and stopping wherever they like, is what causes accidents.
It is the high time the authorities woke up and acted against these bus drivers. They should strictly enforce traffic laws. Erring drivers should be penalized heavily. It is earnestly hoped that remedial action is taken soon.
I shall be really obliged to you for providing a little space to my views in your esteemed newspaper.

Yours faithfully

Subject: Rash driving and over-crowding in school buses.

Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and the general public towards the sheer negligence and carelessness of school-bus drivers.
Not only the buses are overcrowded, the drivers too indulge in rash driving. Thus, they expose the innocent school children to high risks. Only recently a school bus struck against the railings of the bridge and fell down into the Yamuna. Such mishaps are the result of reckless driving only.  I, therefore, appeal to the traffic police and school authorities to take measures to restrain the errant drivers. Will the concerned authorities look seriously into this?
I shall be really grateful to you for your act of kindness of providing a relevant space to my views in your esteemed daily.

Yours truly
Deepak

Sir/Madam,

Subject: Reckless driving and its impact

Through the column of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and common masses towards the reckless driving
It is with great concern that I am writing this letter to your esteemed newspaper. Youngsters nowadays, unfortunately, seek thrill through their driving exploits. It is more of a game to earn bragging rights in their peer group, rather than a serious issue. Following traffic rules is perhaps uncool, and a gamble with one’s life more adventurous. However, they fail to realize that not only do they put their lives at risk, but also that of others. The number of accidents has also increased significantly due to this attitude.
Kindly publish this letter so that today’s generation understands the necessity of following traffic rules, and staying safe.
Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,
XYZ.

Sub:- Introduction of Road Safety Rules in school curriculum.

Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to attract the attention of the Education Department towards the issue of Road Safety Rules.
These days we see in the reports that in most of the road accidents school students are involved. They are at great risk of road accidents as they are not well aware of the Road Safety Rules. They lack the knowledge of how to cross the road, where to walk on the road, where to drive their bicycle etc. It is urged that Road Safety Rules must be introduced in the syllabus of all secondary classes in Haryana. The knowledge of Road Safety Rules will make our students safe on the roads.
I shall be highly obliged to you for your act of kindness of providing a little space to my views in your esteemed newspaper.

Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,

Sir/ Madam,

Sub: Attention of parents towards the danger of rash driving

Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to spread public awareness about the evil of rash driving by youngsters in our city.
Increasing economic prosperity has given rise to a class that loves to show-off their money. These people buy cars, bikes, and scooters for their children when they are still in school. Owning a vehicle is a sign of prestige for them. They do not care whether their children follow the traffic rules or not. It is a common sight to see three young boys piled on a scooter or bike, all without a helmet. They do not have driving licenses and endanger their lives on the road. Parents should be sensitized to the danger of rash driving. Hundreds of people die in road accidents every year. It is a harsh reality that needs to be addressed. Traffic police should impose heavy fines on underage driving and rash driving.
I shall be highly obliged to you for your act of kindness of providing a little space to my views in your esteemed newspaper.

Thanking you,
Yours faithfully
Ram

Subject: Expressing concern over the unauthorized occupation of the park

Through the thought-provoking column of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities towards the issue of the unauthorized occupation of the only park/garden developed for the general public of our locality by the local self-styled `Netas’.
They use it for commercial and political activities. They hold small functions and parties here and the children of the locality are not allowed to enter the park. Now and then, they invite one politician or the other and hold functions just to keep the authorities and politicians happy. In one corner of the park, they have erected a pucca room as well. If anybody raises a voice against this malpractice, the musclemen of these `Netas’ silence them. Our many complaints to the local police and the authorities have fallen on deaf ears. Through your column, I hope to address my grievance to the civil authorities and compel them to initiate proper action to restore the park to the residents of the locality.
I shall be highly obliged to you for your act of kindness of providing a little space to my views in your esteemed newspaper.

Yours sincerely,

Sir
Subject- Menace of Rash Driving
Road accidents are so common these days that they hardly need any detail. The traffic on roads has greatly increased due to an increased number of motor vehicles. In order to control this traffic, the policemen concerned should be given some specific training.
The Speed limit on all roads should be limited and nobody should be allowed to exceed it. Driving in a drunken state should be banned. Traffic lights should also be installed at all important road crossings. All violators of rules should be severely dealt with.
Thank you.
Yours faithfully
Kartik
