The Delhi zoo is situated on Mathura Road. It is always overcrowded on holidays. I was surprised to see the vast area over which the zoo is spread. There were big cages for animals. Pigeons, parrots, sparrows and storks were chirping. It was a scene worth watching. There was a small island in the middle of the zoo. It was full of monkeys. Bears, lions and tigers were enclosed in cages.
The Tigers moved up and down impatiently. The lions were roaring. Only the bears were silent. I saw a huge Rhino. It looked harmless. I also saw crocodiles in the giant pond. The elephants were giving joyful rides to children Zebras and deer were roaming freely. Really I enjoyed my gift. I saw several wild animals. Some of them were brought from other countries.
