Tips to Write a Good Diary Entry in Class 4
1. Write about only one thing: Choose one event from your day. If already given in the question, follow that only.
2. Use simple past tense: Like “I went”, “I saw”, “I helped”.
3. Write what you did and how you felt: Tell what happened and your feelings.
4. Keep it short and neat: Don’t write too much. Just 6–8 lines are good.
5. End with a simple line: Like “I will never forget this day.” or “I hope tomorrow will be better.”

1- Do I need to make a box around my diary entry like we do in notices or messages?
Answer- No, diary entries do not need any box. Unlike notices or messages, a diary is a personal writing. Just write it neatly on the page. Use proper spacing and leave a line after each paragraph if needed. That’s enough.
2- Can I use coloured pens or only blue pen while writing my diary in exams or classwork?
Answer- In exams and notebooks, always use a blue or black pen as your school says. Coloured pens, sketch pens, or highlighters are only allowed at home. For classwork and tests, keep it neat and simple.
3- Should I write my name at the end of a diary entry?
