Education is not an end but a means to an end. Education must teach us to respect physical labour whereas it makes us shun and hate labour. Education in itself cannot build a perfect nation as it is thought to be. The work of a farmer is far more important than that of a professor. Real education tells us that all jobs are necessary for society. Basing yourself on the views expressed in the foregoing lines, write an article on ‘Real Education’.

Education is not an end but a means to an end. An educated man hates manual work. A degree holder prefers to die than to carry a burden on his head. Then what is the use of such education? The purpose of education is to make people fit for life but in reality today it makes them a misfit for life. Leaders think they can build a nation by educating one and all. They are sadly mistaken. Education itself cannot make a nation perfect. We should realise that the work of a professor is not more important than that of a farmer. We can do without education but we will die without food. If sweepers do not sweep, we would get terrible diseases. Real education makes us do a job suited to our brain and ability and realise that all jobs are necessary to society. Education that teaches the dignity of labour is a real education.
