The present-day high-tech gear is just part of growing up in a digital world. Nevertheless one cannot deny that all these gadgets have become a part and parcel of our daily lives. Besides we have become highly dependent on these devices. This is more so in the case of children. Their lives are completely ruled by these devices. These devices have many benefits. They have made our lives easier and more comfortable. They have made the world jump forward with a leap and built up a glittering modern world. They have also opened innumerable avenues for the growth of knowledge and have given a definite form to the wild imagination of man. They have indeed revolutionized every sphere of life. But on the other hand, the excessive interest of children in these gadgets has made parents concerned and worried. Children spend a great deal of time on these gadgets like video games, internet, cell phones, etc. The parents feel that excessive use of these gadgets will definitely lie destructive for the children. This could also cramp their academic and social development. If children are not checked. They would continue to waste time on these gadgets.

They will recline into their own high-tech shell. Thereupon it will become very difficult for parents to bring them out of this world. If these high-tech devices are used in moderation they can fulfil the purpose, for which they have been invented,

 Q.4                                             GREEDY GOAT

There was once a goat which was greedy. She was very greedy because she wanted to eat everything she saw.
One day as she was walking along the road, she saw a sweet lying in the middle of the road. She recognized it as a sweet. She was at once tempted to have it. But she was scared too as the sweet was lying on the middle of the road. Also, there was no one to be seen around.
However, the goat could not overcome her greed. She pounced at the sweet. At that instant, suddenly a stone came whirling and hit her. Frightened she turned back her face when the `sweet’ hissed and exploded. The goat got frozen with fear. She became so panicky that she started running bleating loudly. It took a few minutes for her to calm down. She looked at the place where the sweet had been. The smoke had by now cleared away. Some boys were standing there laughing at the way they frightened the goat. All this was the mischief of the boys. They had lighted the atom bomb cracker and had kept it in the middle of the road. They had then been watching the bomb to explode and frighten any passerby, hiding behind an electric pole. Poor goat, she became a victim. But she heaved a sigh of relief as the bomb might have exploded within her mouth if she would have swallowed it.

When he was in seventh grade he participated in County Science Fair with his slides of frog tissues. But he could not win a prize. The very next Year he participated with his experiment of whether viceroy butterflies copy the monarch butterflies in order to save their life from the birds and this project won Albright, third prize in overall county science fair.

His experiment regarding gold spots of monarch liar which he built a device that showed. That the spots produced hormones necessary for the full development of butterflies won third prize in international science and engineering fair.

Next year his advanced experiments on the monarch pupa won him first place at the international science fair. Thus, for Richard Albright, we can say that success is failure turned inside out.

Naturally, it was a fight between two secret agents belonging to two different organisations. The bone of contention was the all-important report concerning some new missiles. It was with Ausable, and Max wanted to take it away by the use of his gun. The report was so important that several men and women had risked their lives to get it. Someday that report might well have affected the course of history.

No doubt, Max had come prepared. When Ausable switched on the light, he found Max standing halfway across the room with a small automatic pistol in his hand. Ausable had to use his presence of mind and fertile brain to outwit Max. His cooking up of two stories related to the balcony below his window and the police were his masterstrokes. In his simple way, Ausable succeeds in convincing Max that both the stories were true. Actually, there was no balcony below his window. He wanted to unnerve Max by planting the false story that the loud knockings at the door were of the police. In desperation, Max jumped out of the window and Ausable got rid of his crafty rival forever.
