Short Summary of the chapter: Trees

The poem tells us about the many ways trees are helpful to people, animals, and nature. Children use trees to play games, swing on them, or hide behind them. Grown-ups get cool shade, sweet fruits, and fresh air from trees.

Birds build nests in trees. Trees protect houses from sun and rain. People also use trees for firewood and decoration during Christmas. They even make paper from trees.

The poet says trees are also cut to plant more trees in forests and roadsides. So, the poem ends by telling us that trees are very useful, and we must plant more of them everywhere.

It is a fun and happy poem that teaches us to love and protect trees.

Detailed Summary of the chapter: Trees

1. Trees are Fun for Children: The poet begins by showing how trees bring joy to children. Children love to climb trees, swing from their branches, or play games around them. Some kids hide behind trees while playing hide-and-seek. Trees make playing outside more fun and exciting.

2. Trees are Helpful for Adults: Trees are not just for play. Grown-ups also benefit from trees. They sit under trees to rest in the cool shade, especially during hot days. Trees give us delicious fruits like apples and mangoes. The poem says that adults feel happy and relaxed when they are around trees.

3. Trees Give Homes to Birds: The poem talks about how trees are a safe home for birds. Birds build nests on branches, where they lay eggs and raise their babies. Trees also give food like fruits, seeds, and insects for birds to eat. Without trees, birds would have no place to live.

4. Trees Help at Home: Trees protect our houses from the sun and heavy rains. They act like a green umbrella over our rooftops. People also use tree wood to make furniture, firewood, and tools. In winter, trees are used as Christmas trees, where we hang lights and decorations.

5. Trees are Used for Paper and More: The poem says that trees are cut down to make paper, which we use for books, notebooks, and newspapers. This reminds us how important trees are in our daily life. But cutting too many trees is not good, so we must plant more trees to replace them.

6. We Should Plant More Trees: In the end, the poet gives a strong message. Trees are planted in parks, forests, and roadsides so that we never run out of them. The poet wants us to understand that trees are useful in many ways, and we must plant and protect them.

7. Message of the Poem: The poem tells us that trees are not only beautiful but also very helpful to everyone, children, adults, birds, and nature. We should never harm them. Instead, we should love trees and grow more of them for a better and greener world.
