The Snake Trying Introduction

Most of us think that snakes are frightening, death symbols. But the poet sees them differently. In his interpretation, snakes are harmful only if they feel like their lives are in danger. The snake becomes a victim of human thoughts and actions, which cause the snake to try to defend itself–which causes severe harm to both the snake and human.

The Snake Trying Introduction (2) :

This small poem by W.W.E. Ross is a plea to humans, suggesting that they be more understanding toward snakes and not kill them out of fear. The poem reveals that because some snakes are not poisonous, there is no need to kill them when encountering them in the wild.
