Message Writing Format No-13 & 14

Message writing is basically short composition and it is asked for 4 marks. These message writing examples depict message writing format which is common for class 6, 7, 8. Go through and learn how to write a message and find message writing exercises.

13. There is a telephonic conversation between Ashok and Lata. As Lata is about to leave office and will not be able to meet Anju, she leaves a message for her. Write the message in not more than 50 words. Put the message in a box.

Ashok: Hello! Is it 5004311?

Lata: Yes.

Ashok: May I speak to Anju? I have to talk to her urgently.

Lata: I’m afraid she is not in her seat. She has just gone out. I am her colleague, Lata. Would you like to leave a message for her?

Ashok: All right. I am Ashok, Anju’s brother. Tell her that her mother has met with an accident. She is at present in Ward No. 5 at Prem Hospital in Sarojini Nagar.

Lata: How did the accident occur? Is she serious?

Ashok: Mother slipped on the road and fractured her left thigh.

Lata: Don’t worry. The message will reach Anju as soon as she comes.

Ashok: Thanks.

Ans: –                                                                          MESSAGE

16th April, 20….

 4 p.m.

URGENT

Anju

Your brother Ashok called up to inform that your mother slipped and fractured her left thigh. She is in Ward No. 5 at Prem Hospital, Sarojini Nagar, at present. Please rush at once.

14. Ramesh rang up Arjun. As Arjun was not at home, his cousin Raju talked to him. Since Raju was going out he left a message. Read the conversation and write the message in not more than 50 words.

Ramesh: Hello, can I speak to Arjun?

Raju:  Arjun is not at home. May I know who is speaking? I am his cousin, Raju.

Ramesh: I am Ramesh. Arjun’s classmate. Could you tell him that tomorrow’s extra class is cancelled as Mr Anil, the chemistry teacher, is ill? Also tell him to bring the practical record for submission on Monday.

Raju: I will surely pass the information.

Ramesh: Thank you, Raju.
