Sir

Through the column of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and common masses towards the importance of knowing the first aid?

Today a child met an accident near the school gate. Many people were standing around but did not know what to do. Finally, the child was carried to the hospital by a taxi driver. The students should be made aware of the primary steps of first aid at school. In the school curriculum. it should be included.

Even competitions should be held to make them efficient at first aid. At the same time, they should have their own mini first aid box at their home. Parents should encourage their children for this purpose. They should know what to do in such situations before the victim is carried to the hospital. At times, first aid can be life-saving. The government and the concerned educational authorities should initiate a step towards this.

Sub: Evils of Street Begging

Sir,

Through the column of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and common masses towards the evils of street begging.

5faa2e548f73c

“It is a matter of shame that even after many years of independence our roads and streets are still infested with beggars. One cannot escape their pleadings for alms. They seem to be omnipresent. It is a great nuisance to have beggars around you at the bus stops. Railway station, market- compound and religious places. Even when one tries to avoid them, it is difficult to get out of their clutches. Sometimes these beggars embarrass you and you have to part with some coins even against your will. If these beggars happen to spot some foreigners, they would not leave them until they force them to give them alms. What impression of our country these foreigners will take back.

“Some of the beggars appear to be quite healthy and stout. It seems they have found begging for the most convenient method of earning money. I feel that the Government must ban begging and haul the beggars. The healthy beggars should be forced to work for their livelihood. If the eminence of begging is not checked immediately, it will turn out to be a big social evil in times to come. Public cooperation is solicited to curb this evil from our society.

The Central Government has decided against including the use of loudspeakers for religious purposes in the Noise and Pollution Act, 1969 on the premise that it will interfere into the secular aspect of the Constitution. It has set at rest the .speculation by many that some curbs would he provided against the misuse of the loudspeakers in the name of religion. However, instead of creating a wave of cheerfulness, it has caused ripples of anger and indignation in the hearts of the Environmentalists…

Sir

Through the column of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and common masses towards Misuse of Loudspeakers in the name of the region.  I have read an article in yesterday’s newspaper regarding the Government’s decision against including the use of loudspeakers for religious purposes.

5faa30ab9c9d3

I am writing this letter to express my horror and indignation at the government s decision. Without any restrictions from the reinforcing agencies, the use of loudspeakers for religious purposes has assumed alarming proportions. It is only at midnight when loudspeakers from religious places are silent. But at 5 am the next morning they start blaring again. Loudspeakers, bands, etc., used in marriages add much strain to the people in addition to the daily noise of horns from the vehicular traffic. The authorities have already registered about 90 decibels of sound. This can make people irritated and mad. This sound pollution along with air pollution has made life very hazardous.

The decision of the government on the premise of interference in the secular aspect of the Constitution will give unbridled freedom to users of loudspeakers for religious purposes. I don’t mean to injure the religious sentiments of the people at large but human sentiments must be given precedence to the former. I, therefore, appeal to the Government to revise its decision and provide, at least, some minimum level of sound at which the loudspeakers could be used for religious purposes.

In this connection, we have complained to the local authorities but in vain. I, therefore, request the higher authorities to look into this matter and take necessary action immediately.

Sir,

Through the column of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and common masses towards cutting of trees near Badli Colony, and I am writing to express my horror at this decision. The decision to clear the forest area with agricultural land near our colony to provide housing for 10.000 families is 111-conceived.

5faa329c0cb68

Perhaps it is motivated by vested political interests to create vote banks for themselves. The project will spoil the scenic splendour and sylvan beauty of the colony. It will deprive us of our breathing lungs. Those who conceived this Project gave little thought to the poor farmers whose agricultural land is also being acquired they will be deprived of their livelihood. Their strong resentment and stiff opposition to the project is fully justified. The habitation of 10.000 families means adding 50,000 more residents to the colony.

The natural outcome will be water, air, and noise pollution. It will be difficult to provide basic civic amenities of sewerage, cleanliness, etc. I vehemently oppose this move of the government. Whereas global efforts are being made to afforest the deforested areas. Our government is allowing the only patch of forest near our colony to disappear.

New Delhi: 6 Oct., The Union Cabinet has finally decided to exclude cable T.V.from the purview of Indian Cinematograph Act 1950 which would have made it obligatory to seek licenses. Sir,

Through your newspaper, I want to express my grave concern over the decision of the Union Cabinet to exclude cable T.V. from the purview of the Indian Cinematograph Act 1950. I think it might be fulfilling the vested interests of sonic people but it is full of health and moral hazard for the common people. As the cable T.V. operators do not have the obligation to seek licenses.

hand drawn peace day with children 52683 23379

So they are at liberty to choose and relay the programs of their own choice. Most often they switch over to either unpaid or free channels rather than the paid ones. These free channels exhibit vulgar. Sexy, violent, fashion, and shows on alien culture having the least consideration for moral and social values. You know that nature we are all addicted to vice and follow them more easily and the people call it advancement. The Modem youth is prone to overdoses of this imported alien culture. Its expansion is also putting a direct impact on the other strata of the society as well if some restraint is not imposed on the T.V. cables.

Hence the government is requested to reconsider its decision. I hope my views will be appreciated by others and they will join me in the protest.

 Yours faithfully,

THERE IS POISON IN YOU

It’s there in your water, milk, fruits, vegetables, eggs meat, flour and now soft chinks. Sir,

5faa349200b42

Through the column of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and common masses towards the newspaper article specifying that our water, milk, fruits, vegetables, eggs, meat, flour, soft drinks and other products are full of pesticides. Most of them are contaminated. They have long-term effects on our health.

So I am writing this to express my strong views on the health hazards caused by pesticides. The farmer’s preference for monoculture leads to a concentration of pests, which in turn leads to the massive use of chemical insecticides and pesticides. Their poisonous elements enter into our bodies and become disastrous for us and cause cancer.

Hormone disruption and immunity loss. The relentless use of pesticides has ushered in an unending saga of death and misery. For our safety measures, there should be proper regulations to check up the use of these substances. Side by side use of media should be utilized to create awareness among the people about their harmful effects. It is high time to develop good control over its use in order to save humanity.

 Yours faithfully,

Sir,

Through the reputed columns of your newspaper, I want to draw the attention of the government towards postponing the decision of shifting the jhuggi dwellers squatting on the railway lines in metropolitan cities. In this regard, I may pinpoint the government has taken this decision only to earn their vote banks otherwise these people are the pollution breeders, criminals, thieves, ill-mannered, uncultured.

Kidnappers and what not. They have unauthorisedly become the legal heir of government land and become engaged in heinous types of activities and spread pollution. Often they wage a war against the railway authorities and never care for their lives when the train is running.

They are the victims who spread infectious diseases among the residents and bring dishonour to all. They live in the gang and participate in unsocial, unhygienic and criminal activities. In the larger interest, they may be shifted immediately to relieve the residents as well as the environmentalists.

Sir

Through the column of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and common masses towards frequent electric breakdown. The frequent electric breakdown is a great nuisance these days. They hit particularly the student community.

electrical discharge passing through air two pieces naked wires 33099 961

The students are assets to society. The government should keep their interest in mind. During an electric breakdown, particularly if it takes place near the examinations, the students are unable to study. This break in studies makes them forget even what they already have learned.

Electric breakdowns affect other people also. Work in hospitals, factories, and offices comes to a standstill. Even emergent operations cannot be performed. Tube wells also cannot work and thus crops go dry. It is for this reason that a comprehensive policy on electric supply to all areas and sections of society should be devised.

Thank you.

Subject: Cleanliness campaign in Yamuna Vihar

 Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I want to give an account of the cleanliness campaign organized in our colony during this weekend. We had been campaigning for this for the last month. We had been explaining to the residents the need to keeping their biodegradable wastes and non-biodegradable wastes in separate containers.

5faa370dce8d5

This Saturday we started our cleanliness campaign from A-block. With brooms, sacks, poly packs and containers we started cleaning the roads and collecting the rubbish in sacks and containers. All the residents were motivated by our initiative and joined us. During the two days, we were able to clean most of the Yamuna Vihar.

I request you to give it sufficient publicity so that young men in other areas are also motivated to launch such drives.

Yours truly
