Sub: – Rise in Population and Vehicles
Let me express my concern about the growing cases of road rage, quarrels, and accidents through the columns of your popular paper.
Due to the rise in population and increase in materialistic desires and income, the number of private vehicles — cars, motorbikes, scooters, etc. — has multiplied over a few years. The roads are broken and narrow and are unable to cope with the pressure of traffic. People lack traffic sense and violate all traffic rules. Consequently, they lose patience and cause minor or major accidents. These accidents lead to road rage and quarrels.
The traffic police should take stringent steps against the violators of traffic rules. The government should put a partial ban on the use of private vehicles. The public should also pool cars to decrease the number of vehicles on roads. All these steps will ease the traffic and help in reducing road rage and quarrels over minor issues.
