Long ago, dogs lived freely like wolves. One day, a dog felt tired of being alone and getting scared of stronger animals. He decided to find a master who was the strongest on earth.

First, he met a wolf and asked him to be his master. But the wolf got scared of a bear. So, the dog left the wolf and went to the bear.

The bear agreed to be his master. But soon, the bear ran away after seeing a lion. The dog then went to the lion, who was very strong. He lived happily with the lion for a long time.

One day, the lion smelled a man coming and got scared. The dog realized that man was the strongest of all. So, he left the lion and went to serve man.

Since then, dogs have been man’s most loyal and faithful friends.

Detailed Summary of the Chapter: How the Dog Found Himself a New Master 

1. The Dog Was Tired of His Life: Long ago, dogs lived freely like wolves. They wandered alone in the forests. They searched for food and stayed scared of stronger animals. One day, a dog was born who did not like this life. He was tired of being alone and getting frightened all the time. So, he decided to find a master who was stronger than anyone else. He wanted safety and comfort.

2. The Dog Chose the Wolf First: The dog walked and walked until he met a wolf. The wolf was strong and fierce. The dog asked the wolf to become his master. The wolf agreed. They started walking together. The dog was happy to find a strong companion.

3. The Dog Left the Wolf: While walking, the wolf suddenly sniffed the air. He quickly ran into the bushes and hid. The dog was surprised and asked what happened. The wolf said he was scared because a bear was nearby. Seeing this, the dog thought the bear must be stronger than the wolf. So, he decided to leave the wolf and join the bear.

4. The Dog Chose the Bear Next: The dog went to the bear and asked him to be his master. The bear agreed happily. The bear said they would find a herd of cows and eat after killing one. They walked together to find cows. But when they reached the cows near, something unexpected happened.

5. The Bear Ran Away: The cows were mooing loudly and running in fear. The bear looked carefully and saw a lion coming. He quickly ran away into the forest. The bear explained to the dog that the lion was the ruler of the forest and the strongest beast on earth. Hearing this, the dog thought he should serve the lion instead.

6. The Dog Stayed with the Lion: The dog went to the lion and asked him to be his master. The lion agreed. The dog lived happily with the lion for a long time. No one dared to harm the dog because everyone was scared of the lion. Life was peaceful and safe.

7. The Dog Realised Man Was Stronger: One day, the lion and the dog were walking together. Suddenly, the lion stopped, sniffed the air, and became nervous. He said that he smelled a man coming. He suggested they should run away because man could cause trouble. The dog understood that man was even stronger than the lion.

8. The Dog Finally Found His True Master: The dog said goodbye to the lion and went to man. He decided to serve man because man was the strongest. From that time, the dog has stayed loyal to humans. Even today, the dog remains man’s best and most faithful friend.
