Dear Ruksana,
I read through your tale of woe and the fact that your marriage is on the rocks leaves me full of misgivings about the instability o & all human relations. In fact, your letter has cast a pall of gloom over me.
But let me not exaggerate matters. Someone rightly said that husband and wife are concentric circles and their circumferences never meet. That is, they can never have the same interests and personalities. We are all brought up under different influences. But we must learn to tolerate differences as much as possible. Unless we learnt to forgive always and love deeply irrespective of each other’s failings, we cannot possibly carry on being with each other.
If Atul has decided to seek a divorce, talk it over with him nicely without any bickering. If he thinks that’s the best course for him, let him go ahead. Let the court decide with whom your child will stay.
You are still young and beautiful. I am sure after a period of separation from Atul you can decide whether you need another partner in life.
