Science in Everyday Life
Science is a useful servant, but a bad master. In and around our homes, we see the blessings of science. We see its inventions. We are benefited by its unique gifts. Its boons are too many. No area of our life is without its Salutary touch or influence. Now we entirely depend upon this valuable branch of human knowledge. We cannot think of our life without it. It is something indispensable.
The electric light, the cooking gas, the cooler, the heater and the like are part and parcel of our life. Coloured T.V., V.C.R. and V.C.P. have revolutionized the means of recreation. They have heightened our amusement. They are certainly the innovations of science. Can you think of any home without these latest means of entertainment? The air-conditioner is cool in summer and hot in winter. The mix grinds your spices in a jiffy. Its uses are too many. Even your vegetable soups are finely mixed by this great invention of science. Your food is extra-ordinarily flavored. What a miracle! All the household appliances are the unique gifts of science. Now age-old methods are discarded outright. Modern ways of living with the help of science are emulated and preferred. People vie with one another in amassing the gifts of science because they add to their comforts. They make life worth living. They are the symbols of our social prestige. They enhance our luxuries.
 Now life has become very cozy and comfortable because of the contribution of science. You can have anything for the asking. You just press a button; the desired article is at your feet. You can prepare the choicest dishes in no time. This is all possible because of science. Science has made cars; scooters and other automobiles. Even a bike is a gift of science. The uses of science are too many. Whatever field of man’s activity you visualize, the imprint of science is there. It has a permanent and indispensable place in our daily life.
