High-handed Behaviour of Government Servant

To

The Station Master,

Ferozabad Railway Station.

Sir,

I approached the Information Counter at the Ferozabad Railway Station yesterday at 6.15 p.m. to make enquiries about trains leaving for Jehanabad the officer at the counter kept me waiting for twenty minutes while he chatted non-chalantly with a colleague. Then he walked off and was away for another twenty minutes. The queue behind me was restless and kept letting off steam with their abuse.

When the officer returned he answered my first question summarily and then when I persisted in knowing more he barked, “We don’t have time only for you!”

You will agree this is high-handed behaviour which cannot be condoned with. The public pay taxes to get railway services and this is a breach of trust.

Kindly have the matters investigated and the officer questioned.

Yours sincerely,

Ritwik Shekhawat.
