Letter of Resignation (from doctor’s post)

Sir,
I humbly beg to state that in the past fortnight a character assassination campaign has been going on against me. For no logical reason whatsoever, colleagues have alleged that I have diverted funds for the purchase of equipment for personal use. Such scandals are quite baseless since no proof is being offered by my detractors. In fact, they cannot offer solid proof, the whoie allegation being a concoction to malign my image and have me demoted.
The affair has affected my health adversely and I find the environment detrimental to all constructive work. I, therefore, submit this letter of resignation. Kindly relieve me of my post immediately.
