Ans.                                                     EXCITEMENT

There was a lot of excitement in the air. The sound of crackers could be heard all around. Manu rushed out to find out what had happened. When he switched off the TV, he was rather in a very depressive mood. Australia had given quite a formidable score in the T20 Quarter Final match. Indian openers, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were hesitant starters. They not only failed to score runs but slowed down the pace of the game. When Virat Kohli came on the crease, India had to make more than ten runs an over. It sounded like a Herculean task. Rohit and Dhawan were attacking batsmen but both of them were out of their forms. The Australian bowling attack was penetrating as usual. No doubt Virat Kohli was in great form. But it was too much to depend on Kohli all the times. MS Dhoni had the established reputation of a great ‘finisher’. All said and done, things were not going in India’s way at the moment. Manu was in a depressive and irritating mood. “Hell with it!” He cried switched off the TV and went to sleep. The sound of crackers and a lot of excitement in the air told the whole story. “India has won! Incredible!” He thought. His cousin came running shouting from the ground floor, “India has won and in the Semi-final!” Another incredible inning by Virat Kohli-88 in 53 balls! and Dhoni? Well, he lived up to his reputation as a great finisher and sealed the incredible victory with a mighty six over the heads of the fielders.
