Phool Chand was cutting a branch of a tree in his field. While he was sawing it, a man passed by that field. The man stopped and said, “0 men! If you continue sawing that branch like this, you will fall down with it.” He said so because Phool Chand was sitting on the branch and cutting it at a place between him and the trunk of the tree. Phool Chand said nothing. He thought, “This is a foolish person. He has no work to do but he is going about advising others.”
The man went on his way. Soon after the branch fell and Phool Chand also went down with it. “My God!” he cried. “That man knows the future. I shall ask him how long I aril going to live.” Phool Chand ran after him, but the man had gone.
