This is to bring to your kind notice the plight of young girls who while visiting the local market have to undergo humiliation. The young stets sitting on their parked bikes pass lewd remarks whenever some girls enter the market. They continuously stare at them. These girls have to ignore them as they are helpless before a gang of ruffians.
Once or twice, I argued with these roadside Romeos but they just laughed at me and insulted me. Yesterday, their audacity crossed all limits. One of the ruffians pulled the scarf of a girl and created a scene. The girl was in tears and she left the scene hurriedly. She was all alone and the boys were six in number. It is requested to look into the matter and station one or two constables in plain clothes in the market to make the local market a safe place for young girls and ladies. Also, give exemplary punishment to these ruffians.
