My dear Father,

In your last letter, you have asked me about the preparation which I am making very seriously for the ensuing examination.

Dear father, I am very sincere and serious in preparation. I generally work for 14-16 hours every day. I am revising all my courses. You will be glad to know that more than 60% of the courses have been worked out, revised and mugged up. Now the remaining 40% is under active preparation. English is my favourite subject. I had done all the books on this subject. I have prepared top-class notes on all the expected questions. Mr Sunder Das, my teacher who teaches us English, has approved the notes to his entire satisfaction! He has patted me a number of times as and when I discussed with him my problems. He feels my answers are model answers. Nothing could be better than these notes.

In Mathematics I had a little difficulty. Mr Juneja who is an extremely capable teacher and the master of the subject has taught me privately. His coaching of two months’ has instilled (given to) a lot of confidence in me. Now I fully feel conversant in the subject. Rests of the subjects are easy and interesting. They have been my favourite subjects. I have shown brilliant performance in all of them in my previous classes.

Please rest assured, I shall leave no stone unturned to come out in the examination with flying colours. My result will convince you of my systematic approach to all subjects. Everything is in the hands of the Almighty. On my part, I have been burning the midnight oil right from the autumn break.

My respects to dear Mummy and love to Shoki.

Your loving Son,

Akash
