CHAPTER 25: Summary (The Hunting of the Invisible Man)
Dr Kemp is anxious to get Griffin captured because he is convinced that Griffin was mad, dangerous and a person fuelled by pure ‘selfishness’. He further said that Griffin must be stopped or he would next turn to kill people as he simply wanted to create terror in society.
Dr Kemp said that every available man should be put to hunt out the invisible man who was dangerous. He knew that the only thing that could stop him from leaving the place was his three books. Colonel Adye, the Chief of Burdock Police informed him that Marvel denied having those books.
Dr Kemp said that they must stop Griffin from eating or sleeping and every single person should be put on the alert. Dr Kemp further said that they should use dogs as they could smell him out. Another important thing was that the food eaten by Griffin was visible until it had been assimilated. He also wanted the powdered glass to be scattered on the roads as Griffin was without any shoes. Adye objected to this as he felt that it would be ‘unsportsmanlike’ when Kemp informed him that Griffin was unscrupulous and had cut himself from society.

Ans. After the plan to get Griffin arrested failed, Dr Kemp informed Colonel Adye that Griffin was mad. He further told him that Griffin must be stopped or he would next turn to kill people.
