As everyone knows drinking spoils health and injures the body beyond repair. Alcohol intoxicates man and makes him a beast. A drunkard brings a stigma on the name of his family and lowers its prestige. An addict particularly if he does not earn much, neglects his home and hearth and spends his earnings on the purchase of alcohol. His wife and children suffer and they are deprived of necessities of life. Drinking leads to the disintegration of a family. Frequent quarrels, because of alcohol, lead to suicides as well. Drinking; leads to anti-social activities, thefts, and murders. A drunkard hard or money can do any illegal act for his addiction.
Drinking leads to the loss of health, wealth, and character. It is an infectious phenomenon. The tribe of drinkers is increasing as liquor is freely available is Govt. shops. It has become rather fashionable to drink these days. This social evil of drinking can be uprooted if we are determined. Its evil effects must be highlighted by all possible means. The anti-drinking campaign can be started by publishing one slogan against drinking daily on the front page of the newspaper. Rehabilitation centres should be opened. The manufacturing of alcohol should be curtailed. Moral education must be imparted to make people aware of right and wrong.

We boast of the women’s liberation movement but the need for a huge dowry to many of a girl proves that a girl is still inferior. It is a fact that a girl will never be on par with a boy as long as the dowry system prevails.
Parents think that only a handsome dowry can ensure the happiness of
their daughters. They face humiliations, miseries, and incur huge debts simply because of this evil practice of dowry. Parents think that their daughter will not get respect at her in-law’s house if she is not given a handsome dowry. We live in an enlightened era but the sons are auctioned and sold off to the highest bidder. How detestable it is!
We need social sanctions rather than legal sanctions to eradicate this evil of dowry. Legal steps devoid of proper awakening prove to be coercive and create bitterness. The futility and inhumanity of this custom must be understood. Girls should not be treated as commodities. Girls should be educated and made economically independent. The would-be husbands and wives should take a pledge that no dowry will be involved in their marriages. Only they and nobody else can bring about a social change. They should fight against this degrading custom and eradicate it once and for all.

from human activity such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation are responsible for most observed temperature increase since the middle 20th century. The expected long-range effect of global warming includes rising sea levels, glaciers retreats. Arctic shrinkage, change in timing of seasonal patterns of the ecosystem. Now there raises an alarming call to take up the basic steps to overcoming the problem of global warming.
We have to reduce greenhouse gases emission by 50% to 8% of what they’re on track to be in the next century. More attention should be given to afforestation. It is the duty of every individual to help in keeping the environment healthy and pollution-free.

The child shall enjoy special protection and shall be given opportunities and facilities by law by other means, to enable him to develop physically, mentally, spiritually and socially in a healthy and normal manner and in conditions of freedom and dignity. It is the bounden duty of the country to provide at least free primary education for all children.
One must remember that the industrialization wait but youth does not last long. The brightness and future welfare of the society are closely interwoven with the brightness of the child and its careful upbringing. I appeal to the government to make laws to eradicate this social evil from society

Moreover, providing students with high-quality learning activities in relevant situations beyond the walls of the classroom is vital for helping students appreciate their first-hand experiences from a variety of different perspectives.

Every day thousands of people, including a large number of daily wage earners, travel by the DTC to reach different destinations. So far, it had been the most convenient and cheap mode of travel for everybody. However, the sudden hike in the fares has made a hole in everybody’s pocket.
Since, the government’s decision to switch over to the CNG as a transport fuel, the troubles of people have increased manifold. The hike in the cost of CNG delayed buses and the frequent strikes have made the life of the people miserable. The authorities must look into the matter seriously and find means to better manage the transport system; otherwise, life in the capital city will come to a major halt.
