The apparition ha’s, over the last fortnight, barged into the homes of sleeping people, mauled some of them with its metallic claws and made good its escape under the cover of darkness. Indeed, widespread power failures in these parts have greatly helped the mysterious attacker. More than 20 fresh cases have been reported since Monday night alone, many of the victims displaying to the police tell-tale gashes and abrasions caused by the intruder.
