 Ans.                                                                      DISAPPOINTMENT

Vivek was a young man who was in search of a good decent job. Having completed his post-graduation in Mechanical Engineering, he had been waiting for a good job offer. One constraint was his score in his post-graduation which was just 60%. He kept applying for jobs but was never considered even for an interview. He had to go for a job because only that way he could give rest to his father. He also had his brother and a sister to educate.

Finally, Vivek was called for an interview. Vivek was very happy and enthusiastic.

On the day of the interview, Vivek dressed smartly and left for the interview. He reached the company in an auto well before time. When Vivek’s turn came, he was called in. The company’s manager greeted him formally, which Vivek reciprocated. The manager took Vivek’s certificate folder and started going through them, questioning him on the topics related to the job. Though Vivek’s replies were correct and satisfactory, the manager nodded his head and said, ” Mr Vivek, sorry I cannot consider you for the job. Your percentage is very less and you don’t seem to have practical knowledge.” Dejected and disappointed, Vivek turned and walked out while the manager watched him through the glass window. As he came out something struck into Vivek’s shoes. He looked down and found it be a pin. Vivek took it in his hand and looked at it attentively. He sat down on a chair in thinking about his future while working on the pin. In a few minutes, the manager called him and said “You are appointed. I am impressed by what you have made. It’s a great idea, a paper clip from a steel wire!” Vivek looked at what he had made. Yes, it was an innovative paper clip – his new creation!
