A monkey lived happily on a fruit tree near a river. He loved eating sweet fruits but felt lonely. One day, a crocodile came by the river. The monkey offered him fruits. The crocodile loved them and took some fruit for his wife too. They became good friends. Every day, the monkey gave fruit to the crocodile, and they talked a lot about animals, birds, and villages.
One day, the crocodile’s wife got angry. She did not like her husband spending so much time with the monkey. She asked the crocodile to bring the monkey so that she could eat his heart. At first, the crocodile refused. But later, he agreed because he loved his wife.
