Exercise-23

1. Read and complete the following Passage:-

POLISHING SHOES

  • Dust the shoes with a cloth.
  • Apply polish with a brush
  • Spread it over the surface evenly.
  • Polish the shoe in a to and fro motion.
  • Work wherever you have applied polish.
  • Continue till the shoe gives a shine,
  • Repeat this process with the other shoe.

 At first, the pair of shoes should be dusted with a cloth. Then polish (a) ______   on the surface with a brush. It (b) ______   over the surface. The shoe (c) ______   in a to-and-fro motion, working wherever the polish is applied. This exercise (d) ______   till shoe gives a shine. 

2.BANANA SHAKE

 Take a ripe banana. Peel it and cut it into pieces, grind some sugar in a mixer put sugar and banana slices in a jar. Add a glass of milk to this and churn. Add some ice cubes and serve.
