Subject: Organization of a tree plantation programme.

Through the medium of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to voice the need for organizing tree plantation programmes that can keep our environment green and provide us with fresh air. Last week our school, S.C. Bose Sr. Sec. School, organized a tree plantation programme.

Teachers, as well as students, participated in this programme with great enthusiasm. It was indeed a pleasant sight to see numerous members of the teaching faculty and students busily digging up the earth to plant a tree. The Principal of our school also planted his share of saplings. It felt great to see such an overwhelming response to the tree plantation programme and it was decided that we would organise such programmes in future at other places also and plant as many trees as possible.

I strongly feel that more and more such tree plantation programmes should be organised by the institutions.

Yours sincerely
