Good morning one and all. Today, I, Albert, am here to express my views on the topic ‘Need to Observe Metro Manners’.
Delhi Metro is a blessing for lakhs of commuters who travel every day for reaching their offices, shops, homes, shopping malls, etc. Before the advent of Delhi Metro using public transport was really a herculean task. DTC buses always created some problems but Metro has shifted a big portion of the crowd of buses; the Metro possesses all the facilities of an ideal public transport system. It helps us to reach far off places in Delhi within a short span. The Air conditioner does not let us suffocate in the rush and is a boon in summers. The use of metro is very holistic in nature and safe too. The checking at entry points also ensures our safety while travelling. It takes just 2-3 minutes to cover one station, so the speed is also commendable. Metro premises are very neat and clean and thus they are very comfortable to travel. Reservation of seats for physically challenged, old persons and women are good. Moreover, the separate ladies coach is a plus point but some people do not possess the manners to use Metro. I have observed many people, including many college going boys breaking the queues, playing loud music and entering the ladies compartment. This makes the travel a bad experience sometimes. Metro manners should be followed by everyone for the comfort of the passengers. One should not break the rules made by the DMRC. It is for our benefit only, when we break the rules and do such things it harms the image of ourselves. Many tourists and foreigners also travel in Metro and it is shameful when these things happen in front of them. It is our duty to stop such people.
