The residents of Gandhi Nagar locality are experiencing great scarcity of water these days. Previously, the residents used to get water for about three hours in the morning and three hours in the evening. But now the taps go dry even during the morning hours. It has put the residents to great inconvenience. Many have to go without their daily bath and wash. In order to improve the water supply, the MC must take some urgent steps. It is suggested that a couple of new tube-wells should be dug in the area to meet the demand of the residents. Watering the plants in house gardens should strictly be disallowed during the morning hours. Water metres should be installed at all houses to stop the wasteful use of water. All these steps, taken together, can go a long way in improving the condition of water supply in this area.
