Sir,
Sub: Global Warming, the biggest issue nowadays.
Through the column of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and common masses towards Global warming is one of the dreadful faced by the world nowadays. It is the increasing average temperature of the earth, near-surface air, and oceans since the mid 20th Century.
It has been concluded increasing greenhouse gas concentration resulting from human activity such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation are responsible for the most observed temperature increase since the middle 20th century. The expected long-range effect of global warming includes rising sea levels, glaciers retreats. Arctic shrinkage, change in timing of seasonal patterns of the ecosystem. Now there raises an alarming call to take up the basic steps to overcoming the problem of global warming.
We have to reduce greenhouse gases emission by 50% to 8% of what they’re on track to be in the next century. More attention should be given to afforestation. It is the duty of every individual to help in keeping the environment healthy and pollution-free.
