GNM is a medical course. The course prepares a qualified General Nurse who can function as a consultant in both Hospital and community health services. The school prepares students to give nursing care required to patients suffering from all types of illness.
Only unmarried ladies should enrol into the course and age should be between 17 and 35. Married girls can get enrolled in the course after providing medical certificates. The duration of the course is three years and six months and the syllabus is prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council.
