Corruption – A big threat to Development
(The following speech is perfect for 1 min. to 1.05 min)
Corruption is the result of unethical thinking to acquire pre defined purpose for one’s benefits. It has left a deep Impact on public life in India. Firstly people spread corruption and furthermore they seem to be hiding themselves by blaming others. Even they are proud of themselves as they made more money in a short time. They are able to get better promotions and opportunities. Effects of corruption are really disastrous. It causes Lack of quality in services. In a corrupt system quality of service cannot be expected. To get quality one may have to pay for it. This is observed in many fields like municipality, electricity, distribution of relief funds etc. It causes Lack of proper justice. Due to corruption in judiciary system, leads to improper justice. And the victims of offense suffer. It leads to failure of genuine research. Research by individuals needs government funding. Some of the funding agencies have corrupt officers. They take care of their loved ones and genuine research remains failed which should be stopped immediately.
Qu. Do you think that countries other than India are free from corruption?
Ans.- I don’t think so but there are countries which have far less corruption then India. India seems to have a far more corrupt system. If we cannot be quite perfect we should at least try to improve.
