Read the following passage carefully:
FAITH CAN COMPEL THE LORD TO MANIFEST HIMSELF
A thief once, quite accidentally , heard the recital of the charms of Krishna during childhood ; he stopped for a moment, but could not pull himself away.He heard the description of the ornaments he wore and got a great desire to rob those precious treasures.He asked the pandit where exactly would Krishna be tending the cows and whether he would be alone or with his elder brother or with a handful of comrades .The pandit told him rather curtly, “In Vrindavan , on the Yamuna Bank.” Planning to catch Krishna alone and deprive him of the ornaments, he hurried off to Vrindavan .Sure enough , he met the boy alone next morning at the head of his herd of cows…but how could he take off the ornaments from that Loveliness? He was afraid that the removal of even one would reduce the lustre and his heart did not allow him to do that.He looked on for hours, lost in ecstasy, till Krishna himself asked him, but he was too ashamed to mention it.Krishna knew it however .He gave him all the jewels he wore.The thief was overcome with shame and joy ; he fell at the boy’s feet, but when he rose, Krishna was not to be seen .He came to his village and consulted the pandit .”Are these the jewels of Krishna that you extolled the other day? I went to Vrindavan and he gave them to; me.”
Needless to add, the pandit fell at the robber’s feet .Faith can work wonders; it can compel the Lord to manifest himself and give you what you believe .He will give.

“SODA POP”
Soda pop has an interesting story. The story begins with mineral water. Mineral water comes from
springs. In many places, people take baths in mineral water. They say washing with mineral water is good for their health. Some say drinking mineral water is also good for people. Mineral water has bubbles in it. People learned to make bubbly water in the 1770’s. They added CO2 to water with a machine to make the water bubbly. The machine was the “soda fountain.” They called the new bubbly water “soda water” or “carbonated water.” American drug stores sold soda water. Druggists put good-tasting flavors in the soda water. People drank soda water for their health. Many people liked it for its good flavor. Many people went to the soda fountain every day. Most soda fountains were in drug stores or ice cream shops.
