Tours and Excursions

 According to Francis Bacon, travelling is a part of education. An excursion is not just a pleasure trip; it enhances the knowledge of the students beyond the four walls of the classroom. To provide such an enriching experience to students, ___ School Name _____ organise excursions to famous place every year.

Educational tours are part and parcel of the life of students. Students need rest and entertainment after working hard for many days. Excursions can provide them solace and help them form an escape route from the tedium of their nerve-wrecking hectic schedule of activities.

Their visit to Bhagshunag temple, waterfall, Tibetan Monastery and Tibetan Head Quarters were enjoyed by them. Students were mesmerised by the panoramic views of Triund Peaks and Mcleodganj.

Students of classes VII and XII developed love for nature and got real happiness when they got a chance to visit ‘Nainital and Jim Corbett National Park. The Nature walk along the river Kosi and bird watching session were something new for the students. The jeep safari into the Jim Corbett Park, visit to Naina Devi temple, Cave Garden, snow view point were savoured by them which paved the way to the repository of their memories. In the scorching heat of summers, when the continues stream of sweat drops roll down the temples, torturing the spirit, the students of classes VIII and IX picked up their rucksacks to head for an adventure camp at Sadulpul, looking forward to soak themselves in the nector of nature. They enriched their knowledge about flora and fauna, herbal plants and sought geographical information. Apart from it, the activities like trekking, river rafting rejuvenated their frayed spirits.

In this trail, a memorable trip was organised to Udaipur and Mount Abu for the students of Class X. Students got a golden opportunity to know more about rich cultural heritage of India and its past. A visit to City Palace and Museum, Maharana Pratap Memorial, Universal Palace Hall ignited their love for History as a subject. Sightseeing of Guru Shikhar Achal Garh, Delwra Jain temples, and trek up to sunset point enthralled them all to such an extent that it revived their fatigued spirits.
